Guide
Everything you need to know about FindXI — from discovering what's nearby to earning FXI points.
The Map
The map is your home screen. It shows everything happening nearby — questions, help requests, meetups, chat rooms, and local shops — all as colored markers on the map.

Tap any marker to see details. Pinch to zoom, and the map updates as you move around.
Ask
Got a question for your neighbors? Post it on the map and people nearby can answer. Great for local recommendations, finding things, or just being curious.
How to post: Tap the + button, choose Ask, type your question, and it appears on the map at your location. Neighbors see it and can reply.
Questions expire after a set time, keeping the map fresh and relevant.
HelpOut
Need a hand with something? Post a HelpOut request with a scheduled time and location. Helpers apply, you pick who to work with.
FXI collateral: Both requester and helper lock FXI points as a commitment. This ensures everyone shows up. Points are returned after check-in — if someone no-shows, their collateral is forfeited.
Check-in: Both parties check in at the meeting point within a 30-minute window. Once both check in, collateral is released.
Together
Together is for casual community meetups — coffee runs, study sessions, pickup games, neighborhood walks. Create a meetup with a time and place, and neighbors can join.
No collateral needed. Just show up and meet your neighbors.
Chat
Chat rooms are location-based conversations. They appear on the map and anyone nearby can join. Great for neighborhood discussions, event coordination, or just hanging out.
Live broadcast: Some chat rooms support live broadcasting — share real-time updates with everyone in the room.
FXI Points
FXI points are the trust currency of FindXI. They're not real money — they represent your commitment and reliability in the community.
How to earn: New accounts start with FXI points. Earn more by helping others, verifying your identity, and being active in the community.
How they're used: FXI points are locked as collateral for HelpOut requests, ensuring both sides show up. If you follow through, your points are returned. No-shows forfeit their locked amount.
Verify
Verify your identity using your passport's NFC chip. This proves you're a real person without sharing personal details publicly.
Guardian system: Meet a verified Guardian in person to complete verification. They'll confirm your passport scan — no data is stored, just the proof that you're real.
Verified accounts get a badge and access to features that require trust, like HelpOut.
